I am the candidate in the CFBISD Board of Trustees election with the EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE

in our schools as a current trustee

to best represent our children, staff and taxpayers.

Trustee * Parent * Advocate * Volunteer

I am a current member of the CFBISD Board of Trustees, first elected in 2017.  I am a CFB parent and have been an advocate and volunteer within CFBISD for many years. I have lived in Carrollton for 20 years and have been married to my husband, Doug, for 19 years.  Doug and I have one son, Jake, who is a senior at Ranchview High School in Irving, TX.  Jake also attended RE Good Elementary in Carrollton, TX, kindergarten to 5th grade and attended Barbara Bush Middle School.

I have a degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University and am currently a Vice President with a global engineering firm where I perform the role of Regional Finance Director.

I have been involved with CFBISD since my son stepped through the doors of RE Good Elementary in 2009 through service in many roles to local PTAs and the CFB Council PTA.

I have served on the RE Good Elementary Campus Improvement Council, the Barbara Bush Middle School Campus Improvement Council, the District Improvement Council, and was in the inaugural class of the CFBISD Ambassador Program.

As a current Board member, I have served on the Board Audit Committee, have been the CFBISD delegate to the Texas Association of School Board (TASB) annual assembly for 5 years, served on the TASB legislative action committee, and served on multiple local policy subcommittees for CFBISD.

My family is committed to the CFB community.  My mother-in-law was a long-time teacher within the district and my husband attended CFB schools K-12 and of course, CFBISD has played an integral part in my son’s education.  As an experienced member of the Board of Trustees, I am invested in making sure our schools have a positive impact on our community.
